by admin

Avantgrid has achieved commercial operation of the 150 MW Lund Hill Solar Farm in Klickitat County, Washington. This is currently the largest solar power plant in the state. This facility offers Puget Sound Energy’s Green Direct program.

“Lund Hill is a significant milestone for Avangrid and a testament to our commitment to accelerating the energy transition in America.” We are delighted to be working with Puget Sound Energy to achieve this ambitious goal.”

Avangrid’s facility will supply solar for the second round of offerings in PSE’s Green Direct program. More than 40 customers have already signed up for the program, including six Washington state government agencies, including the Department of Health, Ecology, and Transportation (WSDOT). Above all. The initiative allows participants to purchase 100% of their energy from dedicated local renewable energy sources.

Lund Hill sits on approximately 1,800 acres and includes a mix of land leased from private landowners and from the Washington Department of Natural Resources, the state’s first solar land lease.
