Based in Michigan our next energy announced the release of a utility-scale lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery system called Aries Grid.

ONE CEO and Founder Mujeeb Ijaz said: “With Aries Grid, ONE is meeting market demand for a safer, more sustainable, utility-scale energy storage solution that is cost-competitive with fossil fuels for the first time, thanks to inflation reduction legislation.”

The IRA has introduced tools that allow ONE and its customers to take advantage of product cost offsets. Federal Investment Tax Credit for Developing Aries GridThis support means Aries Grid can be used with renewable energy capabilities to provide baseload power generation that was previously prohibitively expensive in many markets.

Leveraging ONE’s Aries transportation 79kWh battery pack, Aries Grid is offered in 2, 3 and 6 MWh modular units that allow customization of the system, with discharge times ranging from 4 hours to 12 hours.

Dr. Deeana Ahmed, ONE’s Vice President of Strategy, Policy and Sustainability, said: “Durable and sustainable Michigan-manufactured batteries pave the way for more renewable power in the U.S. and around the world.”
