Canadian solar panel maker Heliene plans a new 1GW solar panel and 1.5GW solar cell manufacturing plant in Minnesota. according to Reuters.

The company already supports an approximately 700MW solar panel campus in Mountain Iron, Minnesota. solar power world Visited the newly expanded factory last year. Heliene also has manufacturing operations in Ontario, Canada.
according to Reuters Helien is reportedly investing $145 million in the new facility and expects to start producing modules in 2024 and cells in 2025. The exact location of the Minnesota plant has not been disclosed.
