Infused with enphase energy two way EV charger game, After successfully demonstrating Vehicle-to-Home and -Grid functionality.
Enphase Acquired Clipper Creek 2021 EV chargers. The company’s new bi-directional charger products use Enphase grid-forming IQ8 microinverters and Ensemble energy management technology. The charger is expected to work with most EVs that support standards such as CCS (Combined Charging System) and CHAdeMO (Japanese charging standard).
“The new two-way EV charger, along with Enphase’s solar and battery systems, can be controlled from the Enphase app, allowing homeowners to generate, use, conserve and sell their own electricity,” said an officer at Enphase Energy. “We are working with standards bodies, EV manufacturers and regulators to bring this charger to market in 2024.”
In addition to EV charging, Enphase’s bi-directional chargers support:
- Vehicle-to-Home (V2H) – Enables EV batteries to power homes uninterrupted during power outages.
- Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) – EV batteries share energy with the grid, relieving utilities during times of peak energy demand.
- Green Charging – Send clean solar energy directly to your EV battery.
