Longi releases Hi-MO 6 line of solar panels to DG market

by admin

Longi has released a new module for the distributed generation market. Hymo 6By using a hybrid passivation back contact (HPBC) cell, Hi-MO 6 achieves an efficiency of 22.8% in high volume production.

HPBC is Longi’s new generation of high-efficiency solar cell technology with no front busbar. Longi said modules with HPBC cell technology can generate more energy under high temperature and low irradiation conditions, and also have good power degradation performance. In global power generation simulations, Hi-MO 6 modules show a significant power generation advantage over PERC products, with up to 10% more average power generation in typical scenarios.

Hi-MO 6 uses back contact soldering technology. It uses a one-line soldering structure instead of the traditional Z-shaped structure to make the module more resistant to cracks.

Hi-MO 6 comes in four series: Explorer, Scientist, Guardian and Artist, all available in 72, 66, 60 and 54 cell types on Longi’s standard M10 (182mm) wafer size. There is also an option to pre-install Smart Optimizer. Four series power classes: Explorer: 570 W. Scientist: 585 W; Guardian: unknown; Artist: unknown. The Artist Series comes in a wide variety of shades.

“Longhi has been driving the development of the industry for many years with its high-quality innovations. Our flagship Hi-MO series modules contribute to improving the global energy structure. It’s another solid step in promoting fairness in society,” commented Dennis She, Vice President of Longi. “Longhi aims to work with more partners to participate in the new energy revolution, provide clean energy solutions that are equally accessible to all, and accelerate the planet’s energy transformation and development.”
